When Cat makes friends with Henry Tilney and his sister Ellie, she is invited to their stately family home, where her imagination runs wild with murder conspiracies. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. The whole Twilight thing? I understand. The teen slang was just too overblown.

Quite blatantly an older person imitating their view on younger people. The "young person narrative" was wrong, unrealistic and incredibly hard to relate to. I had no connection to Cat. I thought she was incredibly brainless and stupid. I literally ended up hating her.

And wanting to slap her. The romance was lacking severely. The misunderstandings between the two where the most ridiculous things I have ever read that took some long winded, stupid explanation to clear up. It was shoehorned in, written in terribly, and addressed horrendously. It was handled very wrong. The entire time I was reading, there was more than one occasion with the majority of the characters where I got the distinct impression the author was taking the piss out of the original characters, and it made for very unpleasant, irritating reading.

The ending was abrupt, and ended a plot that was pretty much nonexistent.

Klastrom titka (Teljes film)

There just another telling of boy meets girl in an uninspiring way with a few social issues thrown in. Well, ashamed as I am to admit it, that is what I used to believe in my woefully idiotic ignorance. How foolish of me. Now that Ive actually bothered to read one of her novels, because I had to for university purposes, I realise how stupid I was to actually think this. Jane Austen is one of, if not the, best novelists of all time. If you disbelieve me, and held a similar opinion to my own, then read one of her novels and find out for yourself.
